Life After Cancer

Life After Cancer – It’s Your Time To Shine

It might sound cliche, but it is so true and so powerful.  Everyone has the same amount of time in a day no matter who you are, what your financial status is, no matter what race, religion, country you were born into,  You can be the President of the United States or you can be a janitor working in a mall, you both have the exact same amount of time.

The other crazy thing is that time is the only thing that never stops moving. You can have an active two-year-old, you could be an elite athlete in training, you can even be like my wife Danielle (who never stops moving) but eventually you will come to rest. Time is the one thing that keeps going and going and going. You cannot stop the way time flies bye. Now that we are cancer free and we have a second chance in life, why would we let our time left on earth, that God gave us, be wasted anymore.

We all spent so much time commuting to doctor appointments, sitting in waiting rooms, getting treatment, radiation, chemo, surgeries, and recovering. So many things during cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery robbed us of our time. Now that we have been blessed cancer free, time is on your side.

Let’s face it, eventually the clock will run out and we will all die. There is no getting around it. If anyone has the solution to avoid it, I would say, you will be very wealthy in your lifetime. But until this happens, and with modern technology, it might happen, this is your opportunity to make the most of your time.

There must be things that you always wanted to do in this life, but certain circumstances got in the way. Everyone has items on the “bucket list”.  BUT, the difference for the cancer free people now is, you have cheated death, you have fought and won the battle, it’s time to celebrate.

The feeling of taking control of your time into your own hands, and doing what you want, when you want, is the most liberating process you get to go through now. No more needles in the arm, no more radiation treatments. You are free and open to take life by the horns and make the best of your second chance and the new time period you get to spend on earth.

If not now, when?  Take your chance. Take that leap of faith. Explore. Do what YOU want to do. It’s your TIME.

Drop a comment to us and let us know how freeing and exhilarating it feels to take control of your TIME.
